About Jera IT · Edinburgh · Aberdeen · Glasgow
For over 30 years, Jera IT has protected, supported, and modernised Scottish businesses. We’re not a national MSP with a Scottish postcode. We’re a Scottish company — built here, run here, and entirely focused on making technology work for the businesses in our communities.

Jera IT was founded on a simple belief: Scottish businesses deserved better. Not just faster responses or cheaper quotes — but a technology partner who took genuine responsibility for making IT work. One who planned ahead, told the truth, and measured results.
Over 30 years, we’ve grown from a small IT support business into a specialist team covering managed IT, cyber security, AI adoption, telecoms, and cloud — operating across Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Glasgow. We work with businesses from 10 to 200 employees across legal, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, professional services, financial services, and the public sector.
What hasn’t changed is the principle we started with: technology should support your business and evolve as you grow. That’s why we focus on three core pillars: IT that protects you. Security that never sleeps. AI that pays for itself
What sets us apart
We’re not a generalist IT company that dabbles in cyber security and drops “AI” into a service page. We’re specialists across all three disciplines — with named frameworks, proprietary programmes, and a track record that backs every claim we make.
Most IT providers fix what breaks and call it managed services. Jera builds a plan first. Every client gets a named account manager, a written 12–24 month technology roadmap, and an IT Maturity Assessment that gives you an honest picture of where your technology stands today — and exactly where it needs to go. We’ve been delivering this for over 30 years. Our longest-standing clients have been with us for over a decade. That’s not a claim — it’s a record.
Cyber attacks don’t only target large organisations. Small and mid-size Scottish businesses are increasingly targeted precisely because attackers assume their defences are weaker. Jera’s approach to cyber security is built around The Jera Security Framework — a continuous four-stage process that doesn’t just respond to threats, but anticipates and prevents them. We hold Cyber Essentials Plus certification, train your team to spot attacks before they land, and govern your AI tools so your data stays inside your control.
Scottish businesses are saving 5–10 hours per employee per week using AI tools many of them already pay for. The gap between businesses capturing that value and those falling behind is growing every month. Jera is the only Scottish MSP with a dedicated, structured AI adoption programme — including a free AI Readiness Assessment, a 7-stage adoption roadmap, and OI (Operational Intelligence) scoring: our proprietary system for measuring the real business impact of AI deployment by department, in real time.
These aren’t values on a wall. They’re operational commitments made to every client — the reason businesses who switch to Jera don’t switch again.
/01
Over 30 years in IT, I’ve watched too many good businesses make expensive technology decisions with no real guidance, no roadmap, and no one willing to tell them the truth. They’d signed contracts for services they didn’t need, bought software they’d never fully use, and cycled through IT providers who fixed problems after they happened and went quiet in between.
Jera was built to be different. Not different in a marketing-brochure way — different in the way we actually work. We plan before we implement. We give every client a named person who knows their business. We measure outcomes rather than count tickets. And when we say something will happen, it does.
The frameworks we’ve built — the IT Maturity Framework, the Jera Security Framework, the AI Readiness Programme — aren’t products we sell. They’re the structured thinking we apply to every client relationship. They exist because good intentions aren’t enough without a repeatable process behind them.
What I’m most proud of after three decades isn’t any single project or technology. It’s the clients who’ve been with us for 10, 15, 20 years. Who call us before they make a technology decision, not after. Who trust us to tell them when something isn’t right — even when that’s not what they want to hear. That’s what a real technology partner looks like. That’s what we’ve been building since day one.

The UK is facing a widening gap in cyber security professionals. Businesses across Scotland are struggling to find people with the skills to protect their technology — and the threat landscape is evolving faster than the talent pipeline can keep up with.
The Jera IT Academy was built to change that. Through structured training, real-world mentorship, and hands-on deployment experience, we’re developing Scotland’s next generation of cyber security and IT professionals. AI-ready from day one. Based here. Serving here.
Not case studies written by marketers. Real outcomes, confirmed by the businesses themselves — the kind of results that speak louder than any service page.
[Company] had cycled through two IT providers in 18 months. No roadmap, no named account manager, inconsistent support. Every issue was a crisis because nobody was watching in advance.
IT maturity assessment in week one. Full technology audit by week three. Written 12-month roadmap delivered by end of month one — the first [company] had ever had. Named account manager from day one.
[Company] had Microsoft 365 licences for the whole team but was using less than 20% of what was available. Staff spent hours each week on tasks AI could handle — summarising meetings, drafting documents, chasing approvals.
AI Readiness Assessment, OI baseline established by department, phased Copilot rollout with training, Knowledge Agent deployed in month two. OI score tracked throughout — showing exactly which departments improved and by how much.
Three Scottish offices. One team. We support businesses across the whole of Scotland — remotely for day-to-day, in person when it matters.
Our Edinburgh office serves businesses across the city and surrounding areas — Lothian, Fife, the Borders — with a strong specialism in financial services, legal and professional services, and the public sector.
tribe@jerait.co.uk
Our Aberdeen office specialises in supporting the energy sector — oil & gas, renewables, and maritime — where security, remote access, and operational continuity requirements are among the most demanding in Scotland.
Our Glasgow office serves businesses across Greater Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Renfrewshire — with particular strength in manufacturing, engineering, construction, and professional services.
Most of our day-to-day support is delivered remotely — which means it doesn’t matter whether you’re in Inverness, Dundee, Stirling, or anywhere else in Scotland. You get the same same-day response, the same named account manager, and the same quality of service as our clients on our doorstep. When you need us in person, we’ll be there.
